Manage Members and Roles
Invite teammates, update roles, renew invitations, and understand the permissions behind common admin actions.
Use Settings > Members to control who can access a workspace and what they are allowed to do.
What The Members Page Includes
The page is split into two main areas:
- Members: current workspace members
- Pending invitations: invites that have not yet been accepted
From here, admins can invite new teammates, change roles, remove people, and renew or remove invitations.
Invite A New Member
- Open Settings > Members.
- Choose Invite Members.
- Enter the teammate's email address.
- Choose the role you want them to have.
- Send the invitation.
If invitations are blocked, Salambo will surface the policy reason. Common examples include a missing subscription or invitation restrictions tied to billing state.
Update A Member Role
Role updates are handled from the members table. Only users with the correct permissions can change another member's role.
Use role changes carefully. In practice, role changes often control access to:
- invitation management
- role management
- billing management
If a teammate reports that they cannot invite users or access billing, the first thing to check is their current role.
Manage Pending Invitations
If someone has not joined yet, use the pending invitations table to:
- update the invited role
- renew an expired invitation
- resend or remove the invitation
This is helpful when an invite expires or when you invited someone with the wrong role the first time.
Ownership And Sensitive Actions
Workspace ownership is more sensitive than ordinary membership. In many teams, only the primary owner should handle ownership transfers, workspace deletion, or agency upgrades.
Before changing ownership:
- verify the new owner is the correct long-term admin
- confirm they understand billing and production responsibilities
- make sure they already have access to the workspace
Common Problems
A user can open the workspace but cannot perform an admin action
They probably have a role that allows access but not the required permission.
Invitations are blocked
Check billing and subscription state, then look for any invitation-policy message shown in the app.
Someone accepted an invite with the wrong account
They may need to sign out and accept the invitation again with the intended account.
